Certco, Inc. is hiring Order Selectors for its Fitchburg and Madison, Wisconsin distribution operation. This role supports the company’s grocery supply chain by accurately selecting, preparing, and staging customer orders for delivery. The first-shift schedule runs from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This is an in-person warehouse position located on Verona Road in the Madison area. The role includes competitive base pay, daily incentive bonuses, daily overtime after eight hours, and weekly pay.
Role Overview
The Order Selector is responsible for picking grocery products according to customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Accuracy, speed, and safety are critical. Every order must be complete, undamaged, and delivered to the correct staging area on time.
Key Responsibilities
You will pick and assemble grocery orders using warehouse systems and scanners, transport completed orders to shipping or delivery platforms, and tag or mark orders as required. You will repack orders when necessary and ensure all outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage. You will stock products in pick slots, conduct physical inventory counts, and keep the work area clean, organized, and secure. You will follow all safety rules and meet company productivity standards while maintaining consistent attendance.
Equipment and Technology
You will use powered lift trucks when required, along with hand-held scanners and voice-guided picking systems. You will perform safety checks on all equipment before use.
Required Skills and Physical Ability
You must be able to read and write in English, count accurately, and perform basic math. You must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and lift, push, or pull up to 80 pounds. You must be able to operate warehouse machinery, hear and communicate clearly with coworkers, and maintain focus while handling multiple tasks at once. You must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professional communication with your team.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required along with strong basic math skills. Previous warehouse experience and knowledge of stock rotation procedures are beneficial.
